Originally built in 1889, the Barn is packed full of history and original features that make it a truly unique event venue.
Combining the gorgeous aesthetics of a 19th-century barn with modern comforts, the Hall Barns is a cosy yet luxurious venue for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.
You’ll have exclusive access to the Barn including the use of our campsite for a fun, rustic overnight stay, and the gardens, which are ideal for outdoor events and stretch tents to accommodate larger parties.
For those who prefer their home comforts, you can also hire our self-catering cottage, which sleeps eight in blissful tranquility.
Over 100 years of history
The Barn was originally built in 1889 by Sir Hussey Packe, serving as a model farm to show good farming practices on the Prestwold Estate.
It was used until the early 20th century but the rise of industrial farming left the Barn abandoned and unloved. In 2011, Edward Packe-Drury-Lowe, current owner of the Prestwold Estate and great-grandson of Sir Hussey Packe, decided it was time to breathe some life back into the Barn.
We’ve now taken the Barn to exciting new places, converting it into a beautiful and modern event space. We’ve made sure to stay faithful to the history of the building, but we’ve also added in some posh loos, showers and heating to keep our guests comfy and cosy.

You’ll get exclusive hire of the Hall Barns, which has been lovingly renovated to create a beautiful space for functions of all kinds. We even offer exciting activities like supercar experiences, archery and clay pigeon shooting, and a range of delicious food and drinks packages to satisfy every taste.

Say your vows in our stunning Crew Yard, which combines the best parts of indoor and outdoor ceremonies. The result is a beautiful covered courtyard offering an understated charm for your big day.
No matter what type of event you’re planning, The Hall Barns is the perfect venue to gather together with loved ones to celebrate and dance the night away.
For parties, we’re able to accommodate up to 150 guests. You’ll have exclusive access to the entire barn and gardens so there’ll be plenty of room to celebrate and raise a glass both indoors and in our amazing outdoor space.
Mouthwatering food packages
Our on-site chefs are able to whip up just about any cuisine you can imagine.
Whether you’re looking for a sit-down meal or something more casual like a hog roast, just ask and we can make it happen. We have space to cater for 70 seated dining guests or 100 casual dining guests, so there’s an option to suit any celebration.
With a unique bar housed within the old feed-room of the Barn, we also provide a range of drinks packages to keep your guests refreshed.

The Hall Barns is part of the beautiful Prestwold Estate, just outside Loughborough in Leicestershire.
The site is easily accessible by car from all over the country, as we’re not far from the M1. We’re also just a short drive from Loughborough train station and East Midlands Airport.
The Hall Barns is a super convenient venue for a wedding reception following a ceremony at St Andrew’s Church. In fact, you can walk between the two venues in about five minutes—or a little longer in heels!
