Ali & Dan’s colour-pop summer wedding at The Hall Barns
We are obsessed with Ali and Dan’s awesome June wedding at The Hall Barns in Leicestershire. Everything from the colour-pop styling to the laid-back festival vibes made this a 10/10, dreamy, joyful day. And don’t even get us started on the baby alpacas. Getting ready at Laundry Cottage
The morning of the wedding was a stress-free zone, as our bride Ali chose to book out Laundry Cottage. Our cute on-site self-catering accommodation offered plenty of space to get ready in total comfort. Tucked away on the Prestwold estate, it’s the ultimate rural getaway, serving up the most idyllic of country cottage vibes. With her family and wedding party on hand, Ali was able to get ready for her big day knowing she was just a short stroll away from the venue.
Retro bridal style
Can we take a minute for our gorgeous bride? Ali nailed the boho-glamour look in her retro square neck, puff sleeve wedding dress. We adore the oversize bow and veil, which really bring the vintage styling together perfectly. Paired with a loose wavy ponytail and a statement lip (LOVE!) Ali looked incredibly.
Colour-pop ceremony styling
The Hall Barns’ Crew Yard was given a colourful glow-up for Ali and Dan’s wedding vows. Our rustic ceremony space was transformed with fabric swags in summery shades of hot pink and bright orange. A large textured floral display was hung from the antique wooden beams and fairy lights added a touch of magic. It was joyful setup for our amazing couple to say their ‘I do’s.
Statement summer wedding flowers
Ali and Dan’s wedding flowers deserve a standing ovation. Bringing the couple’s vibrant colour scheme to life through floral displays and hanging flower walls, they really add a cool, modern feel to the celebration.
Ali’s bouquet is the bridal bouquet of dreams in mood-boosting shades of pink, orange and coral. The statement mix of dahlias and roses, all tied up with a trailing ribbon, makes this a seriously show-stopping summer wedding bouquet.
All the festival vibes
The Hall Barns is the perfect venue for a festival style wedding and our bride and groom really leaned into this chilled out vibe for their summer celebration. Making full use of our on-site glampsite, Ali and Dan laid out garden games to keep the kids happy and entertained.
Wedding guests were treating to live music and the most delicious of alfresco dining – how can you ever go wrong with wood-fired pizza and a pudding table? Chilling out with drinks in the sunshine and beautiful countryside views, this relaxed summer wedding was the stuff of dreams.
Alpacas at weddings? It will always be a massive yes from The Hall Barns! Ali and Dan treated their guests to the cutest of animal meet and greets, arranging for some friendly alpacas to come along for a stroke. We’re still recovering – SO sweet!
As the sun set, our outdoor stretch tent was lit up with festoon lights to create a festival feel – perfect for enjoying some drinks and catching up with guests as the evening party started. The Crew Yard was transformed into the perfect dancefloor for our cool couple and their family and friends to dance the night away. Glow sticks at the ready…
